Company History

Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, OrthoScan is a privately held medical device company providing state of the art imaging with a focus on orthopaedics. OrthoScan is 100% dedicated to the orthopaedic surgeon and to the mini c‑arm.

OrthoScan’s mini c‑arm is used for fluoroscopic imaging of the extremities in orthopaedic surgery and digital diagnostic imaging. The company’s smaller and lighter weight mini c‑arm provides superior adjustment-free imaging to healthcare professionals.

Our founder developed the mini c‑arm in 1982 and at the same time founded the first mini c‑arm company. In 2002, OrthoScan was formed with the purpose of bringing the “mini” back to mini c‑arms and putting control back into the orthopaedic surgeons’ hands. In 2007, we launched our first mini c‑arm.

OrthoScan is 100% dedicated to the orthopaedic surgeon and to the mini c‑arm.
We are committed to providing surgeons with state of the art products for orthopaedic imaging.

Our executive team in sales and product development has nearly 20 years of experience in orthopaedic imaging. During that time our team gained an understanding of the imaging needs of the orthopaedic surgeon. We have incorporated this surgeon feedback into the development of our new mini c‑arm which will provide surgeons with a next generation imaging solution.

Our sales distribution strategy is focused on the imaging needs of the orthopaedic surgeon. We believe that by using an orthopaedic based sales distribution model we will leverage existing orthopaedic surgeon relationships. We are committed to providing surgeons with state of the art products for orthopaedic imaging. As such, we are developing products that will expand the base of procedures in which our products can be used.
